Mindfulness (Meditation) is a mental training practice that involves focusing your mind on your experiences (like your own emotions, thoughts, and sensations) in the present moment. Meditation can involve breathing practice, mental imagery, awareness of body and mind, and muscle and body relaxation. Mindfulness is the process of bringing one’s attention to experiences occurring in the present moment, which one can develop through the practice of meditation.
Meditation isn’t about becoming a different person, a new person, or even a better person. It’s about training in awareness and gaining a healthy sense of perspective.
You’re not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings. You’re learning to observe them without judgment. And eventually, you will start to better understand how to manage this awareness to grow and expand your spiritual health.
Meditation is a personal experience. Sometimes your focus will wander or you’ll forget to follow your breath. That’s OK as our healers are here to assist. It’s part of the experience. What’s most important is to meditate consistently. It’s just another of those times where the healing journey is more important than the destination.
*Appointment Cancellation Policy: As we are working to heal many people, FOY Life is kindly asking that should you need to cancel an appointment, please be mindful to give 24-hour notice of your scheduled services in order to avoid a late cancellation fee. By giving us 24-hours notice we are able to work to heal other members of our community during your time slot. Appointments cancelled with less than 24-hours notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service. If you have purchased a rejuvenation plan, and you cancel with less than 24-hours notice, there will be a $40 cancellation fee for missed service . If you cancel more than once for the same appointment, you will forfeit that appointment entirely. Thank you for your understanding and commitment towards healing and investing in yourself.
