FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I expect at my first KINSTRETCH class?

  • Expect to develop a practice that is based on scientific research in mobility training.
  • Expect to use limited equipment- only small props such as mats, KINSTRETCH blocks and KINSTRETCH balls.
  • Expect to use and control your own body throughout the class, meaning this class is based on internal effort.
  • Expect to be introduced to FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) principals and terminology. Your instructor will provide you with FRC terminology through their instruction, as it is based off of FRC principals.
  • Expect to be educated.

  • We advise you to wear comfortable athletic wear that allows you to move freely causing no restrictions to the body. Examples: Shorts/ spandex/ tights/ sweatpants/ t-shirts/ tanks etc.
  • Your KINSTRETCH practice can be performed in athletic shoes or bare feet, this is entirely upon preference. However, keep in mind that some instructors may throw in some intrinsic foot control exercises, and these are performed most effectively in bare feet.
  • We advise you to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your practice.
  • KINSTRETCH is most comfortably performed on a soft surface. We recommended bringing your own mat.
  • We recommend you bring a friend. The more the merrier and we guarantee they will thank you for exposing them to a new practice and a new perspective of the human body.

    *Appointment Cancellation Policy: As we are working to heal many people, FOY Life is kindly asking that should you need to cancel an appointment, please be mindful to give 24-hour notice of your scheduled services in order to avoid a late cancellation fee. By giving us 24-hours notice we are able to work to heal other members of our community during your time slot. Appointments cancelled with less than 24-hours notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service. If you have purchased a rejuvenation plan, and you cancel with less than 24-hours notice, there will be a $40 cancellation fee for missed service . If you cancel more than once for the same appointment, you will forfeit that appointment entirely. Thank you for your understanding and commitment towards healing and investing in yourself.
